At Meditative Yoga the desire is to live yoga everyday. We all wish to feel centered and happy. This was instilled in me by my mother Gurani Anjali, founder of Yoga Anand Ashram, who came from India and taught yoga. I found yoga incredibly practical. In coming full circle I am continuing as my mother did to share this great practice. The blending of the body practices of posture and breath with meditation brings us to deep peace and profound wisdom.
Many of us have a profound desire to know ourselves. Yogic life begins right there. The beauty of this path is that it leads us to our authentic selves. Our approach is to look at all the facets of our body & mind and be compassionate towards ourselves. Everything in class is done in a manner which is relaxed and focused. We strive to cultivate a intentional attitude of self inquiry that leads us to our own authenticity.
Sharing Yoga is sharing my life. Yoga has been the foundational aspect of my upbringing and worldview. It is the way I walk and talk. It is an intention to watch the movement of life & to live in freedom.
